The eery hero pairing is written by International Syste Spurrier with artistic creation by his Way of X partner Bob Quinn, and a cover by Cory John Smith.

Spurrier of course was the writer of the recent Evil Horse: Curse of the Diospyros ebenum Blade limited series that redefined the character and established a new condition quo that looks like it'll play a role in this one-shot.

With the world under siege away "vile" extradimensional forces referable the collapse of the magical safeguards Repair Strange put about the World with his death, London is on fire. Dane Whitman sees the butchery via his new Ebony Siege, a stoo ready-made of the same material his Ebony Steel is made from that serves as sort of a Marvel Comics variation of DC's Mobius Professorship, which allows the person seated in it to see through and through time and space.

Hither's a look at four pages from the extra:

The problem is Dane sees a changed X-Men attacking London, and helium, his new-found daughter Jacks (who he now shares the Ebony Blade oath with), and a character familiar to X-Men readers Faiza Hussain (who is the wielder of King Arthur's Excalibur in the Marvel U) team to try to preserve the X-Hands and successively London before an "even deadlier scourge" destroys everything.

"I've ever dreamed of writing Doctor Strange," says the writer. "Typical Spurrier lot that some dirty rat murdered him before I got my shot. Totally the same: the world's departed to hell - multiple hells, actually - since the Sorcerer Supreme got supremely snuffed, and in our story, we have a look at the unique incubus which turns its demonic appetence upon London... and the X-Men.

"Dare you enter the Hungry Lands...? One valiant Dub does. But she (yeah, she) is biting remove to a higher degree she tooshie chew."

Spurrier is seemingly referring to Jackstones, the new edition to Marvel's Hopeless Knight mythology, which English hawthorn or may not be getting much newborn attention due to Dane Whitman's MCU debut (played by Kit Harington) in November's Eternals film.

Spurrier says o'er the concluding year he's had the "pleasure and privilege of sculpting the future of the Black Knight" ... or to be more close, the Black Knights.

"Because now, first, we have a single superheroic identity being shared 'tween ii individuals," he explains, "Dane Whitman and his daughter Jackie Chopra: two impaired people, incomparable hero. Pooling their strength and sanity against the corrupting influence of their signature arm: the cursed Sable Blade."

But Spurrier isn't overlooking the X-Men side of the equation, because as noted He was also the author of Mode of X in the alteration tree of the MU and reports it's also been his "pleasure and favor" to be a part of the X-writers during what he calls the "most exciting and fertile period for those characters in recent years."

He calls his work thereon series and "the huge current jut out it'll lede into later on this month's Onslaught Revelation" a career highlighting.

That's right. Even when Marvel is making news information technology's teasing new news...

"So imagine my joy when the opportunity arose to fuse the ii things in one creepy, cosmic place," Spurrier says, circling back to December's Death of Doctor Peculiar: X-Men/Black Dub #1. "And to be reunited with my Way of X brother Bob Quinn on art? Perfection. We're bringing you snark, horror, secrets, and lies from myths you thought you knew, and a positively playful New Look for your ducky merry mutants..."

Speech production of the death of Doc Strange and the X-Work force and Avengers character the Cherry Witch, we still have questions about the timing of their deaths on with Spider-Mans and so soon before their MCU returns.

I'm not just the Newsarama founder and editor-in-chief, I'm also a reader. And that reference is just a little bit senior than the beginning of my Newsarama journey. I founded what would become the comic volume news site in 1996, and except for a brief visit at Wonder Comics as its marketing and communication theory manager in 2003, I've been writing about new comic book titles, yeasty changes, and occasionally offering my perspective on important industry events and developments for the 25 years since. Despite many changes to Newsarama, my passion for the medium of risible books and the characters makes the last one-fourth-C (it's crazy to see that in piece of writing) time spent doing what I love most.
